I found the greatest toy store in my own town today; it’s Children’s Learning World in the Hampton Ponds Plaza in Westfield, MA. I often complain that there is a lack of small businesses offering quality, natural goods in this area, and I usually travel to Northampton for them. So, when I walked in to see the amazing variety of toys, games and teaching/learning supplies I was thrilled. I went in for one specific toy, but had to make plans to return with my husband because I couldn’t decide which to get.
They have a ton of Melissa & Doug toys, one of our favorite (mostly wooden) toy companies. And they offer toys and games for kids of all ages. It looked like there were some really cool science-y kits for the older crowd.
Children’s Learning World aims to provide customers with an alternative to the big chain toy stores of today which are filled with plastics, electronic gadgets, violent themes and poor quality toys. They also offer teacher supplies and educational games.
